Our shop is, without doubt, the main source of regular income for the Charity and has been since our first shop opened in Fore Street in 2000.

In 2008, we moved to our second shop in The Square, but were on the move again in 2013 - just a few doors down,  to where we are now at 24 The Square.

The shop has helped us to take in and re-home about 40 dogs in the Devon area!  Here are a few of them.

The shop has a good team of voluntary staff, some of whom have given their time and help since the very early days.  They also fundraise in other ways for the Charity in their own time, or at special shop events.

Special thanks to all our customers and to everyone who has helped and supported the Charity shop over the years.

Volunteers Needed

Do you have some spare time to help in the shop for a couple of hours a week?

If so, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Need help to bring in donated items?

In some instances, if you live in or near Holsworthy, we may be able to collect large or lots of items from you.  Please ring the shop to arrange this.

A footnote

We are always happy to receive donated goods, from small pieces of furniture and household items, to jewellery, bric-a-brac, books, toys etc.  In fact, just about anything that is saleable. (We are sorry but we can't accept duvets and pillows).

However, we don't appreciate being used as a dumping ground for rubbish, which, we are sorry to say, has happened far too often.  Anyone who has watched the TV series, "Mary Queen of Shops" will have seen the hundreds of bags they sorted through, and how many of those items were considered unsuitable to sell.

Over the years, we too have received countless broken items, dirty and moth-eaten clothing, soiled underwear and nightclothes, and even a dirty nappy!
