KIRK was less than two years old when he was rescued by a sympathetic member of the public from life on a fairground.  Soon afterwards Kirk was handed into G.S.D. 2000 care and has now been successfully re-homed close to Dartmoor

FIZZ was just 15 weeks old when her owners split-up. The young fellow left "holding the baby" realised he could not cope with a full-time job and a puppy so asked G.S.D. 2000 to help. Fizz was quickly re-homed in the West Country and is pictured here drying-off after a dip in the river.

FLINT had spent much of his life working in the shipyards on the Clyde. By the time he was seven years old the damp conditions had adversely affected his back legs and he could no longer match the requirements of the job. Flint was transferred to Plymouth, but even in the drier conditions he was considered unsuitable and was therefore offered to G.S.D. 2000 for re-homing. He was re-homed in Gloucestershire where he has already enjoyed four happy, healthy years of retirement.

LOLLIE was under a year old when her owner was diagnosed with terminal cancer and requested G.S.D. 2000 to find her a good home. Lollie's new keeper very kindly offered to keep in touch with the previous owner and sent regular photographs and news. Lollie is now living happily in Devon.

MAGGIE was two years old when her owners found it necessary to hand her into Charity care. She was re-homed in Gloucestershire where she has attended training classes and has been awarded the Kennel Club Good Citizens Gold Medal.

MAX PUP was four months old when he was rescued from drug addicts in Wales. Fortunately his rescuer acted quickly and other than a couple of cigarette burns Max was none the worse for his ordeal. He was soon re-homed with a family in the Forest of Dean, where he lives very happily with Steffi, another GSD.

VINNIE was four years old when his owner suffered a serious heart attack and was unable to continue to care for him. Within days he was re-homed in Gloucestershire, where he now lives with three other rescue GSDs.

MAX DALE was four years old when his owner died very suddenly and because his widow had walking difficulties she was prevented from exercising Max.  Fortunately Max was very soon successfully and happily re-homed close to the moors in Devon.

POPPY was just six months old when she was taken by her owner to an animal charity event in Stratford-on-Avon and offered free to anyone willing to take her.  G.S.D. 2000 had a fund-raising stall at the event and rescued her from an unknown fate. She was re-homed in Gloucestershire.
